Getting started

With a growing number communities to choose from, there’s a lifestyle to suit everyone at Stockland. To help you narrow down a shortlist of favourites, we’ve put together a few key considerations that’ll help you make the big decision. Remember: You’re not just moving into a nice new home. You’ll be joining one of the most liveable communities in the country.

Pets

Let’s start with the most important thing first: Your beloved companion animal(s). Will your cat, dog or animal of choice be happy in a Stockland community? Pet acceptance can sometimes present an issue when moving to less accommodating places, but here’s great news: With spacious walkways and open green spaces, Stockland communities are designed with pets in mind as much as people. Many even include dog parks galore—and community events for your furry friends to feel connected too.

Amenities

Each one of our communities are designed with every convenience in mind. From shops and cafes to parks and public transport, there’s a lot to love about the ease of living with Stockland. Our masterplanned communities may also feature on-site schools, childcare, retail outlets, cinemas, sporting facilities, libraries, healthcare centres and more. Contact our friendly customer service team at your preferred community for a copy of the masterplan to see what already exists—and what we’re planning next!

Education

If you’re planning to start a family or already have children, then nearby schooling will be front of mind. Easy access to public transport means young minds are never far from a quality learning institution—and some of our masterplanned communities even have early learning centres, primary schools and high schools built right into them! With so many options at your doorstep, you can use My School to compare academic performance and facilities, as well as check out the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority for more information on national standards.

Safety

Personal safety is essential at Stockland—and it starts with community. Because Stockland communities are designed to foster togetherness, you’ll quickly find your neighbours becoming friends as you enjoy our regular social events and cultural celebrations. Diversity and inclusion are important to us, because a community that cares is a safe place to live. We work year-round to create an environment that encourages home safety. Whether you’re indoors or outdoors, feeling secure is a priority.

Spaces

In 2023, 9 in 10 Stockland homeowners told us they were satisfied or extremely satisfied with the ease of walking and cycling around their communities. That’s because we’re big on emphasising wide open spaces with enough room to get some fresh air, meet the neighbours and take the kids on an adventure. It’s a breeze to enjoy all the parkland, playgrounds, public barbecues and communal sporting areas a Stockland community has to offer.
