Garden Design

Attractive and waterwise garden designs will be integrated throughout Lakewood.

Before moving into Lakewood you have to complete your front garden. This ensures a beautiful living environment and streetscape for all to enjoy.

The following three garden styles have been developed to offer maximum choice, The Native Garden, The Bird Garden and The Eco Garden. All three gardens are available to be seen at the Lakewood Display Village.

The Eco Garden

This environmentally sensitive garden responds to variances in rainfall by collecting water run off in various garden zones. It also features waterwise native hedges and grasses. Strong lines of textural vegetation provide structure through the simple use and repetition of materials.

The Bird Garden

This landscape design incorporates birdbaths and native flowering plants to encourage birdlife to visit the garden. An informal layout guides the views around the garden and encourages differing textures through the use of decomposed granite, gravel and recycled timber logs.

The Native Garden

This contemporary native garden style features flora and foliage accents for seasonal variety and bold colour. The formal garden layout responds to the visual axis established from the internal living spaces to create an extension to the outdoors. In addition to the combined native and exotic structural plantings, a floral layer provides key pockets of seasonal colour in the rear yard.
