Unique waterscapes at Vertu Private Estate

Vertu provides an interactive mix of residential spaces, transportation infrastructure, ecological restoration and best practice storm water treatment.

Vertu's design minimises earthworks and maximises existing vegetation and local drainage and infiltration patterns.

Existing wetland characteristics of the site are retained and enhanced. Wherever possible, local endemic plants are used and major trees are retained in parks and in streetscapes.

Stormwater collects in infiltration systems designed into parks and streetscapes and is discharged into the living stream, which runs through the site.

Positions, sizes and shapes of parks have been determined by existing and potential landscape links and existing trees. Links include local stratigraphy, hydrology, topography, vegetation and cultural links between Carey Baptist College and the Harrisdale Nature Reserve.

The public artwork forms an integral part of the parklands and compliments the other design features of the estate.
