Diversity
At Stockland we value diversity, aiming to go beyond mere compliance to create a vibrant, diverse group of people working within a flexible environment.
We seek to ensure that our workforce reflects the diversity of the communities in which we operate, by providing equal opportunity in all aspects of employment including recruitment, training, promotion and remuneration. We offer a workplace environment where everyone can excel without encountering prejudice or discrimination.
A series of training programs are delivered to reinforce this commitment, whilst mentoring programs offer support to people within Stockland. Most importantly, we have a zero tolerance to any form of discrimination or harassment.
A Diversity Steering Committee has been established to oversee the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of our diversity strategy. A selection of our diversity related initiatives include flexible work options, women's networking events, in-house childcare facilities, indigenous employment opportunities and internships for people with disability.
Our commitment to diversity is reinforced through active membership of a number of specialist bodies including the Diversity Council Australia, the Australian Employers' Network on Disability and the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC).
"89% of employees feel that Stockland supports equal opportunity for all employees."
