Students test drive People-Powered School Bus
Thanks to a partnership with Stockland's Brooks Reach at Horsley - and Connections Community Development (CCD), from April 30, around 30 local students will use foot power to get to school.
Bringing the walking bus to Dapto Public School is a result of research by Stockland that asked local children what they wanted from their neighbourhood, and the new one taking shape at Brooks Reach. The initiative helps to teach children valuable life lessons about stranger danger and road safety and also encourages parents and children to include exercise as part of their daily routine in a fun and social way.
Once residents move into the Brooks Reach, the current route will be extended to include the residential community. Please click on the following link to view the current route or watch the coverage on the local news.
