North Lakes is the perfect place for people of all ages and stages of life

A strong sense of community spirit already exists at North Lakes, where neighbours will become your friends and people regularly join in community activities.

As a fresh and vibrant community, there is always something going on at North Lakes that will interest you and getting involved is very easy.

Our annual events include the spectacular Christmas Carols at Lake Eden and the summer program of Movies by the Lake.

A host of sporting groups, community groups and clubs are becoming active in our area as more people discover the benefits of living at North Lakes.

Our local residents also participate in the Neighbourhood Watch program and join in other community activities such as the annual Clean Up Australia Day event.

Here are some of the recreational activities available in our community:

• Playing a round of golf.
• Enjoying lunch at the golf course clubhouse or one of the many restaurants at North Lakes.
• Exercising at the sports fields or with one of the local sporting clubs.
• Shooting hoops at the basketball courts.
• Having fun at the children's playgrounds.
• Swimming at Pathways aquatic centre.
• Reading a book at Pathways library.
• Joining the Model Sailing Boat clubs on Lake Eden.

North Lakes Artisan & Farmers Markets

Farmers Markets have arrived at North Lakes!
The popular North Lakes Farmers Market will move from fortnightly to weekly and be expanded to include locally made arts and crafts in a new first for Queensland. At North Lakes, we are now going to include goods produced by local artisans.

Launched last July, the North Lakes Farmers Market regularly attracts thousands of people eager to buy fresh and affordable produce directly from local farmers.

The markets will now become a weekly event for the Stockland community from Sunday, March 29. It will also be renamed the North Lakes Artisans and Farmers Market to reflect its expanded product offering.

The new North Lakes Artisans and Farmers Market will be held each Sunday from 7am to midday at Lake Eden Park on Lakefield Drive.

Family and fitness cycling

A Get Out There Fitness Ride is held every Saturday and leaves Duttons cycle shop at 7am. This ride is for the enthusiast wanting to ride between 30 and 50km at a speed between 25 and 30km/hour. 

An Out & About Family ride is held every Sunday and leaves the Stockland Sales & Information Centre car park at 8am. Depending on the age and abilities of attendees, the distance covered ranges between 2 and 3kms.

Heart Foundation Walking Group
