This summer, pack a rug and bring the family for a very different movie experience under the stars next to beautiful Lake Eden. Enjoy an evening of fun with a sausage sizzle and face painting from 6.30pm. The movie starts at 7pm.
The 7 January film is Rio, the story of a domesticated macaw from a small town who takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with the bird of his dreams.
The screening on 21 January is How To Train Your Dragon, in which a hapless young Viking becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed.
The famous family movies bring the community together making the most of balmy Queensland evenings. There's also free popcorn and free face painting so invite your family and friends, it's a great night.
North Lakes Artisans and Farmer's Markets feature a great variety of stalls selling arts, crafts and fresh produce including meat, vegetables, fruit, herbs and spices, coffee, fresh flowers and much more. Enjoy a relaxing morning exploring the markets next to beautiful Lake Eden every Sunday from 7am - 12 noon.
North Lakes is a great place to ride, with kilometres of bikeways and quiet boulevard streets. Our local cycling group, Dutton Cycles Racing and Recreation Club, hold rides open to the public. There's also member rides for the more advanced cyclists. It's a great way to stay active and healthy, be social and have fun! For more information visit www.duttoncycles.org.au
