The walking track and boardwalk around Lake Eden is a classic example of a beautiful 20 minute walk through wetlands full of wildlife, take a moment to stop and watch the birds from the bird hide and take in all the wonderful things happening around the Lake.
North Lakes Parks
More than 20% of North Lakes' 1,000 ha are earmarked for conservation and recreational areas. North Lakes already has more than 30 community parks available. Included in the parks are playgrounds, BBQ areas, picnic areas, water fountains and basketball and netball rings. Take your best friend to our new Woodside Dog Park equipped with its very own pooch play land, or get your friends together and kick a ball around the sport and recreation fields.
The Lakes of North Lakes
Lake Eden consists of a lake and 2 wetlands and is circled by a walkway and boardwalk. Lake Eden is approximately 3 metres at its deepest point and contains fresh water, birdlife and fish. The beautiful parks that surround Lake Eden are perfect for picnics and are regularly used for weddings, visiting the bird hide, model boat sailing and community events.
Melaleuca Lakes and Parklands consist of walkways linking the golf club to the Mango Hill Village as well as play equipment, BBQ facilities, picnic areas and open space. The water component consists of 2 lakes and 8 wetlands. The largest lake is about 1 ˝ ha - that's equivalent to about 23 traditional blocks of land. Much of the original vegetation including the melaleuca trees have been utilised to provide for the wildlife.
