Last of Summer Fruits

The Christmas and New Year break spoilt us with the tropical fruits and stone fruits we all enjoy in the region.

While the coming weeks will see an end to this summer bounty we are fortunate to have an extended season in the area which allows our farmers to produce some fruits and vegetables for longer.

This great fresh food fare, and much more, is available at the popular North Lakes Farmers Market on every Sunday from 7am to midday at Lake Eden.

New season apples are picked and transported directly to the market by the local farmer, who promises a far superior taste to products left in cold storage for long periods before sale.

Other products to look out for will be lychees, the last of the stone fruit, Keitt Mangoes, passionfruit, juicy watermelons and new season broccoli and cauliflower. And don?t miss the other goodies such as wood fired breads, local lamb products and superb natural yoghurt.
