Tree Walk

Tree Walk

One of the most noticeable features of Settlers Hills Estate is the magnificent Tuart trees, which are prevalent in the region. In early 2004 the successful relocation of an existing plantation of grown tuarts was a world first!

A key feature of Settlers Hills is the Tree Walk, an informative journey through 35 historically significant trees retained throughout the estate. Three walks are offered.  The short walk is approximately 2km in length, the long walk approximately 6km, while the extended walk is nearly 1km further.

A plaque at the base of each tree records historical events that took place at the time each tree was a sapling.  These events are described in global, national and local contexts.

The Settlers Hills Tree walk is a joint initiative of Baldivis Primary School, Stockland and the City of Rockingham.
