Resident Stories
Independence & Freedom

Greig and I retired early, but from 2006 to 2010 we did voluntary work in Egypt. Working in Egypt was a real life changing experience and when we came back to Australia in 2010 we landed back in Tassie, which is where Im originally from.
We discovered Golden Ponds by complete coincidence. We travelled to the NSW North Coast when we were on home assignment from Egypt in 2008. Greig and I felt very drawn to Forster, we instantly knew it was where we wanted to settle down.

Since living here Ive become very involved in the village choir. Its been a wonderful activity to participate in. I can safely say that it brings myself and the other residents who participate, a great sense of joy to be able to sing and entertain people.
