Living in the village I find I have more time to do the things I really enjoy doing

I got to a stage in my life where I realised that a retirement village was something I should consider.  With my husband gone and a large house to look after, I felt I needed more support and the company of others at similar stages in life as me. I was also looking forward to slowing down a little.

I visited Templestowe Village at least five times before I moved in and made a conscious effort to meet the residents I would be sharing my life with.  I would come and have coffee in the community centre and had made friends even before I moved in.

The welcoming community, lovely gardens and freedom to enjoy activities that interested me have all contributed to making this feel like home.  Living in the village I find I have more time to do the things I really enjoy doing and spend less time worrying about maintaining a large home.

The bottom line is, I?m very happy.  Another resident from the village only said to me last week, if she had known how wonderful this lifestyle was, she would have made the move five years earlier.
