We’re pleased to announce the addition of ALDI to Stockland Rockhampton in February 2025. It will be the second ALDI in Rockhampton, and the first in the northern suburbs.

Works will start in mid-February 2024 for ALDI’s freestanding site in the car park at the Coles/Kmart side of the centre. 

We’re pleased to be making other improvements to the centre as part of the works, including shade sails to 118 existing on grade car parks, a new garden plaza between ALDI and the existing ground floor shops, and a covered pedestrian walkway connecting ALDI to the existing shopping centre.

There will be changes to the car park during the staged works, including the temporary loss of up to 220 car parks and 18 motorbike parks. There will be 123 car parks permanently removed to make way for the new ALDI supermarket. Stockland Rockhampton will continue to have more than 2,700 car parks to meet the needs of our customers.

We are committed to alleviating the impact to our retailers and customers during trade with noise mitigated where possible and works to be staged during the development.

Will there be any impact to disabled parking during the works?
Yes, 2 disabled car parks will be lost during construction, but replaced once the works are completed.

Will any stores close during the ALDI development works?
No, the centre and the current stores will trade as normal.

Will there be any changes to centre access or navigation around the car park?
Traffic access will be altered and managed while works progress, with directional signage and traffic management plans in place to ensure public safety and to help minimise customer impact.
