Car Park Changes

During the redevelopment, there will be changes to car parking. All changes to the car parks will be communicated via this website and redevelopment newsletters as well as signage around the centre and car park areas.

Multi Level Car Park on Nathan Street and Alfred Street
A new section of the multi level car park was opened in December 2011 which fronts Nathan Street and Alfred Street, there is a ramp entrance to the car park on Nathan Street. There is also access into the existing multil level car park on Alfred Street. This car park provides access into the centre via the pedestrian ramp or stairs, the travelator or the customer lift.

Alfred Street Car Park new entrance and loading dock entrance
A new customer car park entrance has been created on Alfred Street which provides safer access for cars and pedestrians in and out of the centre. The older car entrance is now for service vehicles only wishing to use the loading dock and Taxi access to the Disabled Access Taxi Rank.

Patrick Street Car Park
A new car park has been created on Patrick Street which features 250 additional car spaces. This car park provides easy and convenient access into Stockland Townsville off Elizabeth Street.

Ross River Road Upper Level Carpark (located above Rebel Sport)
This car park has been closed and will reopen with the new food court in July 2012. A new customer lift will provide improved access into the centre from this car park in July 2012.

Ross River Road Ground Level Car Park
This car park has been removed to make way for construction of the new Myer store.

Shopping Centre Entrance Changes (entrance doors)

Rebel Sport Entrance (escalator entrance)
This entrance has been closed to make way for the new food court and customer lift.

Transport to and from Stockland Townsville:

  • Taxis are currently available on Elizabeth Street or the under cover multi level car park on Alfred Street. 
    • The Taxi Rank on Elizabeth Street is available for customer pick ups and drop offs, however does not have disabled access.
    • The Taxi Rank in the under cover multi level car park on Alfred Street is available for customer pick ups and drop offs and has disabled access. There is a Taxi speaker phone on the wall at this Taxi Rank for requesting Taxis.
  • Buses are currently available at the bus interchange on Ross River Road and on Elizabeth Street.
    • Bus shelters on Elizabeth Street have relocated South along Elizabeth Street. 
    • Bus shelters on Ross River Road remain unchanged. 
  • Disabled parking spaces are available on all levels of the Alfred Street multi level car park.
