This year we awarded more than $300,000 to local community groups through our Community Grants program. Our community grants recognise and support the important local community groups and organisations that make such a difference to the social fabric of where we live, work, shop and play, now and into the future.
This year’s grants went to diverse recipients representing a range of ages, places, and interests. Some of the recipients include:
Amy Hogan, Stockland National Sustainability Manager, said “Over the life of the Community Grants program, since 2014, we have given over $950,000 to community organisations. We have been able to support over 1,000 groups, which is really exciting.”
Amy continued by reflecting on the impacts the program has had not only on grant recipients, but also on Stockland employees, saying “When you call them and tell them they’re getting a grant, they become overwhelmed with joy and sometimes you get people screaming through the telephone with excitement. It’s really great when you hear people talk about how Stockland has made a difference in their lives and in their community. In the end, that’s why we do what we do.”
We wish all of our communities a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season and new year. We look forward to the next round of community grants in 2018!
