One of Australia’s most awarded developers of over 50s lifestyle communities, Halcyon, and the world’s fastest growing sport, Pickleball, have joined forces to help grow the game in the ‘Florida’ of Australia, South East Queensland.
The doubles pairing are a perfect match as Halcyon has come onboard as the Pickleball Brisbane Doubles Open (BDO) major sponsor, as well as being strong advocates for the game at a grassroots level.
The sponsorship of the BDO comes on the back of playing an active role in growing the sport by building Australia’s first purpose-built pickleball court at Halcyon Glades in 2015 and then Australia’s largest purpose-built pickleball complex at Halcyon Greens in 2018.
In addition to building courts, Halcyon homeowners and staff have also developed a Pickleball Coaching Program with Australia’s first Professional Pickleball Coach Keith Bing.

Keith has provided countless hours of tuition to Halcyon homeowners and staff which resulted in a men’s doubles gold medal win at the 2019 Australian Pickleball Championships.
