Stockland recently hosted a series of Breakfast briefings “Fashion for thought” at EST Restaurant in Sydney and Vue Du Monde Restaurant in Melbourne, to showcase the $372m redevelopment at Stockland Green Hills. In keeping with the theme of fashion and personalisation, our retailers were privileged to be joined by guest speaker Sarah-Jane Clarke the co-founder of iconic fashion label Sass & Bide.

Retailers listened and were inspired by Sarah-Jane as she spoke of her and business partner Heidi Middleton and their different way they grew their business.

The brand vision was key to the Sass & Bide business, they wanted to take their customers on a unique journey and become completely immersed into the Sass & Bide world. Their strategy to engage with our customers was simple, create excitement and intrigue. Their investors who rightly believed space is money, were reluctant to allow the unconventional use quirky life sized animal sculpture displays, but Sass & Bide fought hard to ensure that their customers experience was not diluted.

As consumer expectations change, brand experience and destination shopping are important considerations for retailers that’s why the Stockland Green Hills development is creating innovative ways to create opportunities for retailers to grow. We’re powering on with construction and we are excited that the new Dan Murphy’s opened in late October, which is 44% larger than the previous store. The inspiring new vibrant dining and entertainment precinct and a further 225 specialty shops due to be completed in April 2018, will help to transform the local communities shopping experience to a new level.
