Celebrity TV chef and cookbook author Miguel Maestre has been Stockland’s food ambassador for over two years, helping change the way Australians do dinner.

The very successful partnership supports Stockland’s strong food offering – over 21% of our retailers are food-related – and helps inspire Australians to buy fresh produce, and enjoy cooking and sharing delicious food.

Miguel’s passion and dedication for his craft has been on show in Stockland centres around the country, with family cooking classes and food demonstrations. In December 2017, Miguel hosted an unexpected Christmas lunch for 30 shoppers at Stockland Wetherill Park as part of Stockland’s Christmas campaign #TogetherforChristmas.

To wrap up Stockland Riverton’s Food Fiesta campaign this month, Miguel hosted a cooking demonstration for a lucky audience who won family passes to see Miguel whip up some delicious recipes. The event showcased the centre’s food offering and customers reacted very positively to his enthusiasm and vibrant personality. There was a 3.8% increase in foot traffic over the campaign period and sales are expected to increase.

To help drive customer interest in buying and cooking food, Stockland has launched the ‘Miguel Maestre for Stockland’ hub, which has food news, seasonal recipes, tips and inspiration including Miguel’s own family recipes. The hub also has a behind the scene look at Miguel creating some of his signature dishes and a personal story about what drives this energetic cook.

The content hub includes a series of video recipes, which are hosted in our YouTube channel.

Miguel is excited to be working with Stockland to encourage home cooks to try new ingredients, expand their food horizons and experiment a little.
