A seven-cinema HOYTS complex will open at Stockland Green Hills in mid-2018, a key part of the $412 million redevelopment of the centre to deliver the premier retail, entertainment and casual dining destination in the Hunter region.

The 900-seat cinema will be located within the new entertainment complex and will offer customers new experiences including powered recliner seating and two Xtremescreens with Dolby Atmos surround sound. Customers will also be able to enjoy HOYTS Lux, a premium cinema experience, offering an in-cinema dining service.

John Schroder, Stockland Group Executive and CEO of Commercial Property said: “We are extremely excited to welcome HOYTS to the new Stockland Green Hills. HOYTS are renowned for putting the customer experience at the heart of their business and the new seven screen HOYTS cinema will offer our customers the best movie-going experience in the region, with all the latest blockbusters available day or night.”

HOYTS Group CEO, Damian Keogh says, “We’re thrilled to be growing HOYTS’ footprint in key regions across NSW. The new HOYTS at Stockland Green Hills will offer a sensational new cinema experience for the Newcastle and Hunter region focusing on quality, atmosphere and comfort, creating a one-stop-shop for the most entertaining trip to the movies”.

Building on the success of Dan Murphy’s, the first new retailer to open, another 13 retailers will open their doors in April including Best & Less, Blooms The Chemist and The Reject Shop. Of the 13 shops, five are service shops, which underscores the importance of customer experience in retail in 2017.
