The $37 million redevelopment and expansion of Stockland Wendouree is set to excite shoppers when it opens in June with a stronger focus on youth fashion, retail services and casual dining ensuring it will remain the retail destination of choice in Victoria’s central west.

The redevelopment will provide something new for the region and will continue to deliver an unprecedented local experience for customers and retailers. The retail evolution underway at Stockland Wendouree is an example of how Stockland is working with retailers to ensure our centres evolve into vibrant community hubs that drive foot traffic and increase dwell time.


Phil Newton, Stockland Development Manager, said: “We have received a great response from local and national retailers looking to open new stores at Stockland Wendouree. We are confident that, on completion, Stockland Wendouree will become the star local destination for the community to meet, eat, shop and socialise.”

The centre upgrades respond to changing customer demands and expectations and will deliver an elevated customer experience with over 100 retailers including fashion shoe brand Skechers, beauty service provider Oscar Nails and 6,700 square metres of new retail floor space.

At the heart of upgrade will be a new full-line 3,800 square metre Woolworths, which will offer the latest fresh food innovations, including an artisan delicatessen and on site bakery for customers.

The centre’s new laneway dining precinct with indoor and outdoor seating will feature a variety of casual dining choices including cafes and restaurants like Billy’s Lakeside Restaurant, Tokyo Grill House and Sushi Sushi that will be fast become an integral part of the customer’s shopping centre experience.

The redevelopment will add an additional 50 new car parking spaces to the centre taking the total to over 1,200 as well as a brand new inclusive playground designed in collaboration with the Touched by Olivia Foundation, to ensure children of all abilities can play together.
