Free outdoor fitness sessions return to Elara

A free fitness program at Stockland’s Elara community in Marsden Park has fired up for the new year to help locals kick weight loss goals, meet new friends and be healthier and happier.

Local residents are invited to take part in the outdoor program, coordinated by
Live Life Get Active, which is held each weekday during the school term offering boxing, cross training and yoga plus helpful education on health and nutrition.

The Elara sessions recommenced on Tuesday, 30 January, at the Elara Community Hub by Livvi’s Café on Elara Boulevard in Marsden Park.

Since the launch of the program in 2016, the sessions have helped locals shed a combined 72 kilograms and 81cm of waistline.

Richard Rhydderch, Stockland General Manager of Residential Communities, said he was delighted to welcome the return of the free sessions to Elara. “Our fitness sessions have already helped many locals improve their health and wellbeing and I hope to see even more residents benefit from this important program in 2018,” Mr Rhydderch said. “Elara residents have whole-heartedly embraced the program, which has seen participants get fit, make new friends and build connections within the community.”

The Elara sessions run from 5.30pm to 6.15pm on Monday and Thursday and from 9.30am to 10.15am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Anyone interested in attending can register online at
www.livelifegetactive.com and then start booking sessions.

Participants also receive a free tailored nutrition plan and can track their progress and monitor weight loss and fitness.
