David Boyle, his wife Astrid and three-year-old daughter Providence make regular use of the many amenities within the Aura community including free local events, nearby parks and the bustling café.

After moving into their new family home in September last year, the family have made many friends and enjoy taking advantage of everything Aura has to offer.

“We didn’t’ meet as many locals where we were living before,” Mr Boyle said.

“It’s a lot easier to meet people at Aura and my wife has made friends through the free Live Life Get Active classes she attends on weekday mornings.”

Since settling in to the Aura community, the couple have attended movie nights and cooking events and their daughter enjoys taking part in the free children’s multi-sport program, Ready Steady Go Kids.

“We only live a block and a half away from Pedal Park so we make a visit with Providence several times a week,” Mr Boyle said.

“I also enjoy taking the basketball along and shooting a few hoops.

“A favourite local spot of ours is Izba Café which is where we meet on Saturdays before I go to work – we try to take advantage of everything the community has to offer.”

The Boyles’ dog Lulu is also treated to two walks each day which the family says are increasingly enjoyable because there are more places for them to explore as the community grows.

“Aura is a really good community for us. The shops aren’t too far away either and with the Baringa Retail Centre coming soon it’ll be super convenient,” Mr Boyle said.
