Stockland’s $180 million Foreshore Coomera community in the Gold Coast’s thriving northern corridor is starting to take shape as homebuyers from as far as Victoria snap up lots in the masterplanned community.

Nestled close to the meandering Coomera River and just 26 kilometres from the Gold Coast CBD, the community is already proving popular with both local and interstate buyers seeking a home surrounded by nature that’s close to shops, schools and cafés.

Civil construction is progressing on the 750-home community as the first streets, home sites and services are created, and more than 100 lots have been sold.

Work is also well underway on the community’s first two parks, Central Park and the Foreshore Jetty Park, which are expected to be delivered at the end of the year just in time for the community’s first residents to move in.

David Laner, Acting Queensland General Manager for Residential Communities, said that since its launch in early 2017, the community had attracted strong demand from buyers drawn by the affordability of land coupled with the region’s laidback waterside lifestyle.

“The Gold Coast’s northern growth corridor is fast becoming a haven for first home buyers through to upgraders and Coomera is positioned at the heart of it,” he said.

“Buyers are increasingly prioritising a healthy and active lifestyle and the community offers easy access to the water, nature reserves and established shops and schools to ensure future residents have the best of both worlds.

“The Coomera East Shopping Centre is located directly adjacent to the community and the $470 million Westfield Coomera is expected to open just two kilometres from Foreshore Coomera at the end of this year, ensuring that outstanding retail, dining and entertainment options are right on our doorstep.

“With lots at Foreshore Coomera starting from $240,900 and waterside lots available for under $460,000, buyers are discovering outstanding opportunities to either take their first steps on the property ladder or upgrade into stunning family homes with a view.”

Foreshore Coomera is located just a short drive from the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre which is a major venue for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

More than half of the community is dedicated to open space and conservation with additional planned amenities including bike and walking trails.

Foreshore Coomera is also located close to the Coomera Train Station, sporting ovals, employment options, public and private schools, childcare facilities, tertiary education, health and retail services, Gold Coast theme parks and four renowned golf courses.
