Former Sydneysiders Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon and wife Rupinder discovered the benefits of living at Kalina Springfield at the same time as their friends Gautam Timilsina and Meghana Bhardwaj.
Both families are now planning to be among the community’s first residents as they prepare for construction of their new homes.

“Sydney was good, but we knew the traffic was only going to become more challenging down the line,’’ said Mr Dhillon, who appreciates the value for money in his new neighbourhood well as the easier commute.
Renting in Springfield ahead of the construction of their new five-bedroom home has given his family, which includes son Zoravar, time to become acquainted with the local area and he is pleased their new home will be close to established shops and services.
“We looked at a number of places before settling on Kalina. We liked that it was part of a growing region, but also close to established homes and infrastructure,’’ Mr Dhillon said.
“It is more laidback than Sydney, shops are handy, and everything you need for daily life is only a couple of minutes away.”
Mr Timilsina agrees on the value of being in close proximity to a wealth of existing infrastructure such as shops, schools and medical services.
“Coming from Sydney, we also appreciated the value for money at Kalina and the fact that all the services we need are just a two or three-minute drive away,’’ Mr Timilsina said.
“While it is part of an up and coming area, we also like that our home will be in a peaceful location. That gives us peace of mind.’’
