Luke Clarke and partner Sabra Matthews are among scores of locals who have raced in to secure their own piece of paradise at Stockland’s exciting new Newport community on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

More than 100 home sites have been snapped up by preregistered buyers at the $590 million waterside community, with many of the buyers from Redcliffe and the surrounding area.

Mr Clarke said he was delighted he will be one of the first residents to move into Newport in 2017.

“Sabra and I had been looking for a home to buy for some time but thought we would have to relocate from the Redcliffe Peninsula to buy our first home together,’’ Mr Clarke said.

“We couldn’t believe our luck when we found out about Newport earlier in the year…We were over the moon.

“We live in the older part of Newport with my parents and I really love the area. I have been here for 13 years now.”

Mr Clarke and Ms Matthews are building a four-bedroom home and are expected to move in by mid-2017.

“We are looking forward having a brand new house near the water,” Mr Clarke said.

“It will be nice to have the bay as a backdrop and have easy access to the water for fishing trips on the weekends.”

Mr Clarke said another highlight of securing a home site at Newport was the fact that the couple would be living in a brand new masterplanned community surrounded by stylish homes.
