We caught up with Newport sales specialist Aroha Wray, who offered some great advice on how to pick your home’s perfect location. 

What are the main questions to ask yourself when choosing a location for your dream home? 
Understanding your desires and non-negotiables will help narrow down the best location for your new home. 
The main questions to consider can include the below.
What is important to you? 
Do you seek a low maintenance lot to allow time to spend time with friends and family or to do the things you love? 
Would you prefer a larger lot to have room for a pet, pool or your children? 
Do you require water access for a boat or jet ski or even just for the serenity? 
Is it important for you to be close to amenities?

What are the most common questions you are asked in relation to choosing a block of land?
Buyers like to know who their future neighbours will be and hope to be surrounded by like-minded people. Community is extremely important to our clients, and Newport is known for its vibrant, coastal community. Orientation can also be important when purchasing land to ensure a design captures the best of our beautiful Queensland weather. 

What is a piece of advice you would give someone considering to purchase a block of land at Newport?
Don’t be afraid to purchase off of the plan as there is a great amount of value in purchasing prior to registration. This may allow time for you to save more, sell your home, or finalise decisions around the build. Depending on where you purchase you may see growth prior to settlement particularly when securing land prior to completion of retail centres, parks, lakes and other amenities.

Generally speaking, what are the most popular factors people consider when choosing their home's location? 
There are a few, such as proximity to amenities including schools, parks, shops and transport. Community engagement and sentiment are also major factors. 

Newport residents also organise Sunday gatherings at the waterside park and have a closed Facebook group to support each other along the building journey with recommendations and advice.  

Are land sales moving as quickly as home sales right now? 
Absolutely! Our land sales are currently selling out at each release. We have a high number of buyers hoping to secure land in our future releases.
