“Pallara as a place to live, has been designed with families and active living in mind so the launch of these new, free events are a natural extension of that very lifestyle on offer when purchasing here.” - David Franklin, Senior Development Manager at Stockland

Stockland Pallara is providing local families the opportunity to bond with their fellow community neighbours through new ‘Link and Learn’ healthy lifestyle programs, which launched Saturday 19th October and runs throughout the school term.

The free programs, which include both adult and children’s yoga classes, as well as a group running club, have been designed to foster an active and inclusive community for all ages and abilities.

The free adult yoga classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 8am - 9am in the Pallara Central Park and participants will be led by a qualified instructor through a total mind-body workout, combining strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation.

Following the adult’s session, aspiring junior yogis are invited to participate in the children’s yoga classes from 9:30am for 45 minutes. Guided through each step by a qualified instructor, the junior classes, which are best suited for children between four and 12 years old, will provide the opportunity to learn something new, whilst making local friends in the process.

A weekly 5km parkrun will also take place each Saturday morning as a social opportunity for community residents to run, jog or even walk the dog around the neighbourhood’s green spaces.

David Franklin, Senior Development Manager at Stockland said the ‘Link and Learn’ programs will be a great way for those in the community to forge real relationships between one another, with the benefit of improving personal fitness.

“Pallara as a place to live, has been designed with families and active living in mind so the launch of these new, free events are a natural extension of that very lifestyle on offer when purchasing here.”

“We hope these new initiatives will inspire those in the community to continue fostering happy, healthy neighbourhood networks while getting out and about to enjoy the wonderful open spaces and places available within the Pallara region,” he said.
