Midwives clinic for expecting Mums
West Moreton Health Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) operates every Monday at Providence.
The Midwifery Group Practice program provides continuity of care to women, meaning expectant Mums get to meet with the same midwife – who is supported by a small team of midwives – for all their antenatal appointments during their pregnancy, labour, birth and follow up postnatally for up to six weeks.
When attending the clinic at the hospital you can ask to be referred to Midwifery Group Practice or ask your GP to mark this on the original referral to the hospital. The sooner people identify they would like MGP the higher chance there is of being accepted before all the places are filled.
