Planning minister launches Stockland’s Canopy project, an exclusive terrace home development in Perth’s urban inner west
Construction has commenced on Stockland’s first inner-ring urban infill project in WA in over twenty years, a $75 million terrace home community in the heart of Glendalough named Canopy.
The Hon. Rita Saffioti MLA, Minister for Transport and Planning joined the City of Stirling’s Mayor Mark Irwin and Stockland’s General Manager of Residential Communities for WA, Col Dutton to officially celebrate the commencement of construction on site this week.
Renowned for its award winning masterplanned communities, Stockland is transforming this inner western suburbs site into a thriving, well-connected community, just five kilometres from Perth’s CBD.
Canopy will feature 97 intelligently designed terraces, ideally located on Rawlins Street in Glendalough. Residents will enjoy easy access to local attractions including Lake Monger, Oxford Street in Leederville, Mount Hawthorn, Subiaco and the Perth CBD.
“The green title terrace homes (no strata fees), sit seamlessly between apartment living and a freestanding home, so they are spacious and modern, but still suit inner city living,” Mr Dutton said.
Potential buyers may be eligible for up to $55,000^ in government grants with their purchase, with assistance from the Federal Government’s HomeBuilder scheme, the WA Government’s Building Bonus and WA’s existing First Home Buyers Grant. The first residents are expected to move in during the summer of 2021/2022.
