Fun ahoy at Sienna Wood! A $4.8m shipwreck themed, all-abilities playground is coming to Hilbert in 2017.
The Forrest Road park will be Sienna Wood’s first playground - a 6,000 square metre enclosed play space featuring a 30-metre shipwreck surrounded by rocks, sand and shipping cargo.

Col Dutton, General Manager for WA at Stockland, said the park, which had just been approved by the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, was a result of a national partnership between Stockland and the Touched By Olivia (TBO) Foundation.

“The playspace has been designed to meet the needs of people with all abilities and it will provide children with so much fun as they let their imaginations run wild,’’ Mr Dutton said.

Highlights will include a dry creek bed with logs for children to walk across, viewing platforms, giant swings, a dual all-abilities flying fox, water and sand play elements, in-ground trampolines, slides, musical equipment where kids can beat out tunes and shipping containers to explore.

– 6.6 hectares in size with large grassed kick-about areas and BBQ facilities
– A huge enclosed play space featuring a 30 metre shipwreck to explore
– Basketball court, table tennis and exercise equipment
– A large enclosed leash-free dog park with agility equipment
– Kick-about area with BBQ facilities

The Sienna Wood park will become the largest park at Stockland’s seven residential communities across WA while the innovative playground will feature play equipment never used before in Perth

The park will enjoy a prime position beside Sienna Wood’s future Town Centre and primary and secondary schools. Meanwhile, a network of walkways and cycle paths will connect the playground, fitness zones and barbecue and shaded areas located within the park.
