The WA Government has announced a cut to the First Home Owners Grant boost effective 30 June 2017.

First home buyers will continue to be eligible for the $5,000* boost payment if they enter into a contract to purchase or build a new home before June 30, 2017. The move comes six months earlier than originally promised by the former Barnett government. 

Treasurer Ben Wyatt said 
This action represents another $20 million saved over the forward estimates. It's another step towards budget repair."
