Keystart has announced its relaxed eligibility criteria will be extended until June 2020, helping more Western Australians into their own home.

When Keystart temporarily increased its income limits for singles, couples and families on its low deposit home loans in May this year, hundreds of applications were received. The recent announcement to extend the initiative for 6 months, will help more WA families fulfil their home ownership dreams.

Stockland’s General Manager of Communities in WA welcomed the announcement:

“This boost will provide more Western Australians with access to affordable housing at a time when credit is difficult to obtain for many home buyers.”

Almost 13,000 Keystart loans have been issued over the past five years. Eligible borrowers only need a two per cent deposit and are not charged mortgage insurance, along with the relaxed income limits some of the biggest barriers to entry into the housing market have been significantly reduced.

If you have been thinking about getting out of renting, now is the time to find out if you are eligible.

Find out if you qualify and make 2020 the year you buy your own home.

We are getting married next year and never thought we would be able to own our own home. Once we knew we didn't need such a big deposit, we were completely shocked by how easy it was with Keystart. We built with Homebuyers Centre and now enjoy our own little piece of heaven. - Tamojin & Chris, Stockland Residents. Hear their story below.
