Stockland has launched a special competition to find the perfect name for the future main street within Whiteman Edge’s town centre in Brabham.

Col Dutton, General Manager for Stockland WA, said the street name competition was a unique chance for local residents to be involved in the creation of a key component of the town centre project.

“We’re delighted to offer this very rare opportunity to residents and apart from the honour of naming our main street, the winner will also be invited to take part in history by cutting the ribbon at the official opening, among other prizes,” Mr Dutton said.

“The name will need to reflect a flora and fauna theme as well as comply with the City of Swan’s street name guidelines, including that it must be unique to the region.”

The Whiteman Edge Town Centre is adjacent to the new $2 million Jungle Park and plans include a supermarket, specialty shops with a focus on convenience based fresh food, a medical centre and childcare centre.

The winner will receive a $500 Visa gift card and will be a VIP guest at the opening event.

An additional $250 Visa gift card will be awarded if the winner has also decorated a virtual street sign using Stockland’s interactive online competition tool and shared it on social media tagging #WhitemanEdge.

Visit www.stocklandpromo.com.au/whitemanmainst to enter the competition by decorating your own virtual street sign. Alternatively, go to the Whiteman Edge Facebook page and simply comment on the competition post. Entries close at 5pm on 20 May, 2018.
