Residents at Castle Ridge Retirement Village, Doreen and Len Rooney first heard about the Stockland Benefits+ home care partner, Five Good Friends during an information session held at the village community centre.
The Stockland endorsement of the partner was all that Doreen and Len needed to explore this opportunity further.
They spoke to their local Five Good Friends representative and were pleased to receive very clear advice and assistance to understand how the Government Home Care Package scheme works.
Doreen and Len proceeded with the home care application process and were supported by Five Good Friends through the aged care navigation process which included an ACAT assessment. After completing the process and being deemed as eligible for funding, they are now accessing the help and care support they need to remain living independently.
Doreen and Len explained “It’s much more than just a cleaning service. We have a regular carer assigned to us and receive help with cleaning, driving, bed making and general household chores.”
“Without the help we have received from Five Good Friends, we would have struggled to come to grips with navigating the complexities of the aged care system. We appreciate the professionalism, competence and willing helpfulness of Five Good Friends and can recommend them to fellow Stockland residents.”
Doreen and Len said “We have no doubt the range of services we will access will broaden over time, however it’s nice to know that help is on hand if and when we need it. The Five Good Friends team are without exception, helpful, pleasant and competent.” Stockland have partnered with a small selection of Home Care Partners in each state and region across all Stockland villages.
