With location comes lifestyle and Stockland Golden Ponds Retirement Village will keep you living a fulfilling life right into retirement.

With an exclusive leisure centre, bowling green, swimming pool, spa and landscaped gardens there’s certainly plenty of spaces to enjoy. Plus, with a thriving activities calendar including social events, clubs, exercise classes, happy hour and more – you could never get bored!

Curious to see what our residents love getting up to most? We spoke to our resident of ten years and Chairman of the Management Committee, Keith, to find out for you.

Bowling
Residents of this village love to kick-start their week with a game or two of lawn bowls. Keith, acting as Chairman of Lawn Bowls, said up to 30 men and women get together each Monday to enjoy a game. Residents enjoy a morning in the fresh air, great company and an excuse to keep fit and healthy.

Darts
Each Tuesday around 30 residents come together in the leisure centre and aim for that bullseye! Being such a popular activity, four residents pride themselves on keeping this one in order! Residents enjoy keeping their hand-eye coordination sharp and keeping the competition alive amongst friends.

Exercise Classes
Whether you’re a morning or an afternoon person, there’s an exercise class or a dance class ready for residents to get that body moving. Each Wednesday a professional instructor attends the leisure centre to conduct a formal class for approximately 20 residents at a time. With a focus on enhancing exercise and energy levels, residents also enjoy an excuse to get out of the house and catch up with others.

Croquet
Fancy a spot of croquet on the lawn? There’s a dedicated crew of 8 players that get together on a Thursday to drive that wooden ball through its hoop. We think it’s a good excuse to get outside for some sunshine while keeping the body mobile and motor skills sharp.

Happy Hour
What better way to finish off the week than with Happy Hour?! At least 20 regular residents get together from 5pm at the leisure centre with a share plate and their favourite beverage to sip. It’s a great way to catch up, talk about the week that was and just enjoy one another's company. Keith says, ‘many head home very happy after happy hour’!

Enjoy getting amongst the existing activities, or even start your own club at Golden Ponds. There’s always something on and people ready to join in!
