Where should we go for our next resident’s dinner? Oh yes, the Tahmoor Inn, only 5 minutes away from Stockland Macquarie Grove! A great place for a group catch-up and it has recently been re-built and refurbished.
Why not arrange to meet in Danny’s Bar for a cocktail while waiting for all to arrive, then head on into the spacious bistro (let’s dine outside tonight) and enjoy a scrumptious meal knowing all the produce is selected from your local growers.
Sounds like the perfect night, in the perfect venue with perfect companions to swap stories, catch up, discuss current events or even stay back for a game of cards and coffee to finish off the evening.

Plan a morning out with a fellow resident and kick start your day with a coffee and something sweet at Michel’s Patisserie, then maybe treat yourself to a cut/colour at Rojopelli and sit back and relax with a mag.
Right, now let’s get a few jobs ticked off your ‘to do’ list. Head to the chemist to fill your script, pay your phone bill at Australia Post and pick up a couple of grocery items from Woolworths. A bit parched? Pop into Subway for a nice cold drink and healthy salad roll before strolling back home at your own pace to put your feet up!
Thirlmere Lakes National Park
Location: Thirlmere NSW 2572
Approximately 5km from our village you will find the perfect spot for a relaxing picnic, easy walk surrounded by wonderful birdlife, and a glimpse into locomotive history. That’s right, we are referring to Thirlmere Lakes National Park, part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. Plan a day with family/friends in the fresh air and get out and about in the community.
Here’s a great plan – start with a picnic, taking advantage of the free BBQ’s and cook up a feast. Lay back and relax so your lunch can settle, before taking a stroll around the 6km walking track admiring over 140 birds that inhabit the park. Then, take in some of NSW’s rail history with a visit to the restored sandstone heritage pump station – the grandkids will love it! Make sure you finish your day admiring the freshwater lakes that are thought to be over 15 million years old.
This open, leafy setting is yours for the taking for exercise, socialising or just taking a nice breather!
