Ken Harris from The Cove, NSW talks fish, with a twist!

Attention, all fisherman: be prepared to turn green with envy at Ken’s big catch. The keen angler reeled in a 69cm flathead, right from the wharf at The Cove Village. But the impressive size of the fish is only half the tale; the real intrigue lies in the way it was caught.

“This is a story with a twist,” Ken says. His wife, Helen, suffered a spiral fracture of the ulnar bone in her left forearm while netting the struggling sea creature. As far as fish stories go, this is by far the best we’ve heard. An incredible catch and an even more incredible story were all in an afternoon’s work for Ken and Helen (who is recovering well).
