With its tree-lined entrance welcoming you home, a direct path to the clubhouse at the heart of the community, and its easy level access to homes and facilities, Willowdale is a village designed with you in mind.
From the waterfront to Willowdale, John has found a new home closer to his family, and he's never been happier. John Gauci worked on the waterfront and as a hobby, trained and raced trotters. A club member for 53 years, he swam the horses at 3am every morning in the Georges River, and even won a race as a jockey when the odds were at 200-1. John was living down the south coast, whilst his family was living close to the Willowdale community. They suggested to him that he should consider a move, so they could spend more time together as a family. In November 2016, John chose another winner. He decided the time was right and made the move to Willowdale. Back then, the clubhouse was only half finished, but now he makes full use of the gym and other facilities. "The longer I'm here, the better I'm feeling from a health point of view. Plus, the new clubhouse has provided more opportunities to meet people. I've got good neighbours, and everyone I have met here is very nice."
