Who likes starting their days with a round of golf? Brighton Lakes Recreation & Golf Club is 16.3km from our village, and it’s well worth the short drive.
Tee off surrounded by panoramic views of green fairways, lush treescapes, water features and bird life. There’s 18 championship holes designed by golf architect Bob Harrison to keep you challenged and those skills maintained.
After a hit, why not head up to the clubhouse with your mates and enjoy stunning views, a good meal, some banter and better yet, a well-deserved beverage. With live entertainment, raffles and activity nights, you might find yourself here for hours!

What are you up to this Saturday? The Cobbitty Village Markets are a 15km drive from our village, and our residents just love going to check out the stalls!
With over 150 local stalls this market has something for everyone. Be inspired by craft goods, pick up some delicious gourmet foods and fresh local produce, sample some fudge or buy yourself some new knick-knacks. Pop your feet up and enjoy a BBQ cookup, some Devonshire tea or a little treat.
Here’s an idea! Why not get a group together and have a bake off with all the produce you’ve picked up? Homemade jam, pickled onions, chunky apple pie or your secret recipe tomato relish...!
Picton Botanic Gardens

Fancy some fresh air, a walk or some relaxation time? Whether solo or with friends, the stunning Picton Botanic Gardens are situated along Stonequarry Creek, which is a 35km trip from our village.
Plan your outing with a packed picnic and some exercise shoes. There’s walking and cycling tracks around the gorgeous Australian gardens. Then stop only when you’ve found her perfect picnic spot. Chuck out the rug, kick back and share a charcuterie board and some wine amongst friends.
If you’re feeling like some me time, the gardens are the perfect place to curl up with a good book, watch the world go by, practice some tai chi or even meditate. With the stunning background you might even be inspired for a spot of painting (make a note to pack your painting supplies for next time!).
Steve from the Social Committee runs the bus to the gardens once a month, so make sure you’re on it to enjoy a social outing with your new friends. There might even be a few fun pit stops along the way – thanks Steve!

It’s the perfect place for a dessert-hit with your fellow residents, or an outing with your grandkids that you just know they’ll be excited about!
