Stockland and Bowls Australia are partnering for the fourth year to support the health and wellbeing of the residents within Stockland’s Retirement Villages across the country.

Stockland and Bowls Australia are teaming up again to continue promoting the sport of lawn bowls in our over 55’s communities, encouraging healthy, active lifestyles amongst the residents. The partnership brings the opportunity for residents to participate in multiple lawn bowling related events that are operated through the collaboration of the Stockland Retirement Village teams and various Bowls Australia teams.

Over thirty of Stockland’s villages nationally have their own lawn bowls green, many of which will be hosting these events throughout the summer, including the Roll Back The Clock event program, providing coaching clinics and health and wellbeing seminars.

“We want to encourage happier, healthier and more active residents across all 65 of our retirement villages” Amy Hogan, National Manager, Sustainability said.

“These coaching clinics and seminars offer great opportunities for residents to meet some of the sport’s elite and make new friends with other like-minded seniors” she said.

Together with Bowls Australia, Stockland are working to improve the current low participation in physical activity and organised sport in Australians aged over 65 – one game at a time.
