Most residents will agree that life in retirement is something they wish they’d experienced even earlier. But what are the very best things about life at Salford Waters? We sat down with our residents to find out exactly what makes village life so wonderful.

We all know the phrase, everyone’s different. So naturally, every resident will have a different take on the best aspects of retirement Village living. Some people enjoy the added sense of security; others appreciate the low-maintenance lifestyle. To get a better sense of what makes our village so special, we spoke to those who know it best – our residents and team who work at the village.

Here’s what we love about Salford Waters Retirement Village:

  1. Dog club meets at the Pergola on the Water for furry fun – pet owners with dogs are often found of an afternoon on the water and have a chinwag

  2. The outdoor heated pool is a peaceful spot for a swim in the morning or the grandchildren love to swim when they visit – now with a solar powered cover!

  3. Paddle Club! With the water right on our back door, there’s a few residents that go for a regular paddle on the water with their kayaks.

  4. The craft room has just been updated with more space, more storage and a better wet area so we can do painting or craft and clean up easily. The table is full of sign-up lists with so many activities and groups to choose from.

  5. The Café operates a few days a week with our very own barista. It’s so nice to have a freshly brewed coffee without even leaving the village. We love the new cakes too!

  6. The hair salon has just been renovated and our friendly hair dresser makes it so easy to pop over and get my hair dyed, cut or permed.

  7. Fishing! There’s a spot right out the back of the village that’s perfect for a fish. There are some concrete stairs you can sit on and just enjoy the view of the islands, while you wait for a bite from flat head or bream. Dave’s Bait & Tackle Shop is only 2 min up the road and they always have great advice.

  8. Our maintenance man has been at the villages since I moved in! He always waves hello and happy to help when he can.

As you can see, there are so many things to love about life at Salford Waters Retirement Estate. If you haven’t stopped by yet, make it your mission to pay us a visit and see for yourself! Just call us on 1800 72 71 70 to make an appointment.
