Get outdoors for some fresh sea air, take a leisurely stroll along the sand, get into some tai chi next to the waves or just pop down a towel and read a book as the tides change. The beach really is a magical place, and it’s all a part of your backyard. What makes this place even more magical, is that between June and September, female Southern Right whales return to the waters off Warrnambool to calve. The whales often swim within a hundred metres off-shore, and can be viewed from a specifically constructed platform at near-by Logan's Beach. The platform is always open, with a ramp to ensure access is always smooth.

The Hopkins River Mouth

Located between Point Richie Beach on the right and Logan’s Beach to the left, this is one of Warrnambool’s most picturesque natural features. Alternatively the river bank is also just down the end of the street less than 100 metres away; see what all the fuss is about and enjoy a walk, a quick splash to end your day or simply sit and enjoy the sun as it goes down of an afternoon.
