Stockland Keilor Village unveils its new-look Community Centre
In 2016, Keilor Village celebrated the re-opening of their newly renovated Community Centre with a sumptuous high tea. Over 100 residents and guests celebrated this special event, with speeches by Bernie McHugh, Village Committee Chairperson and David Moore, Village Manager.

The extensive renovations included new flooring, updates to lighting, electrical work and a fresh coat of paint throughout the building, totalling $450,000 of upgrades to the centre.

First opened in 1997, the revamp of the Community Centre was the first major works in 19 years and has been well received by residents and visitors alike.

“The refurbishment of the Community Centre has lightened it up and provided residents with a vibrant new space to enjoy their day to day activities”, said David.

After four months of work, the Community Centre was officially opened at the special event with a ribbon cutting by Nathan Broad, Stockland Retirement Living Operations Area Manager, assisted by residents Alan Anderson, Jack Spargo, Jeanette Jamieson and Lois McWilliams.
