With a breathtaking scenery on show, romantic hideaways and indulgent adventures you’re sure to find many reasons to keep visiting the Dandenong Ranges, a haven of hidden delights with scenic winding roads and quaint hilltop villages. Take a walk and enjoy the scenic ornamental gardens brought to life from the perfectly cool climate of the region, or, take a gentle walk or hike throughout the various tracks and trails catering for all hiking abilities. If cycling is your thing, the Dandenong Ranges are one of Melbourne’s most popular cycling areas with off-road mountain bike trails or popular road cycling climbs. There’s several lookouts and views to take in the spectacular views on both sides of the range. On a clear day, features as far as Mount Macedon, the You Yangs and Port Philip Bay can be seen while the impressive views across to the blue and green colour of the Great Dividing Range are superb especially at sunrise. If it’s scenery that you’re after and you don’t feel up to walking, take a drive throughout the abundance of winding roads and experience the towering mountain ash, fern gullies and farm-gates. On the relaxation front, you’ve got more than enough picnic spots to choose from that are perfect for a private romantic picnic or a family BBQ. There are also various coffee shops, restaurants, bed and breakfasts, craft shops, antique shops and nurseries throughout the area that will keep you from ever wanting to leave!

Highly regarded as one of suburban Melbourne’s most popular courses is the Morack Public Golf Course, 5kms down the road. This course is the go-to place if you want to be social, keep fit and learn new golf techniques. Featuring an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, club meeting rooms, an onsite golf shop and a golf academy, Morack has everything you and your village friends will need. There’s an excellent variety of holes including five par 3’s, ten par 4’s and three par 5’s. Whether it’s a friendly social game or you’re the competitive type Morack currently hosts four golf clubs who meet during the week for these events. So, round up your friends and unpack your golf gear, it’s tee time!
