Mernda Awarded Property Council of Australia 'Best Retirement Living Development' in Victoria 2017

This year, the team at Mernda Retirement Village celebrated the announcement that we had been awarded 'Best Retirement Living Development 2017' in Victoria by the Property Council of Victoria (PCA).

The award was warmly received by our team who have worked tirelessly to make Mernda the popular village it is today.

"The vibrant community, number of activities and facilities on offer, and the fact that our residents are surrounded by like-minded neighbours in a safe and secure environment, is a big part of what makes living in a Stockland village like Mernda so attractive," said Daniel Milentijevic, Regional Development Manager Retirement Living.

The village boasts a 4 star green star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia, with each home awarded a 6 star rating.

"We have taken an industry leading approach to the sustainable design and development of Mernda Retirement Village."

"Right from the beginning we have incorporated a range of environmentally sustainable features to reduce energy and water usage, and minimise operating costs across the village," said Daniel.

The award winning Clubhouse was designed by 6 Degrees architects with Mernda's future residents' social, emotional and physical wellbeing in mind. In addition to facilities including an indoor gym and pool, the Clubhouse features open spaces, natural lighting and bi-fold doors allowing the indoor to blend with the outdoor. There is also a wellbeing centre with full time Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to help residents keep active and healthy.

To find out more about our award winning features, visit the village at 89 Galloway Drive, Mernda from Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
