How good is it to have your community’s sporting, leisure and entertainment destination just 1.68km from our village?! Ballarat RSL is your place with everything from golf, bowling, entertainment and dining right in the one spot. Tee off with a group of friends on the 18-hole championship golf course designed by the golfing legend himself, Peter Thompson! Or round up the family members for a fun day of barefoot bowls on the bowling green. If it’s some entertainment or a social atmosphere you’re after, Ballarat RSL has you covered with Triple Treat Tuesdays, Bingo and Live Music Fridays. Sit back and relax in the bistro overlooking the vast green fairways while you enjoy their famous Chinese-Australian inspired menu with a nice cold beverage and good conversation.

Midlands Reserve Splash Park
Location: 75 Landsborough Street Ballarat North
A day with the grandkids? With the Midlands Reserve Splash Park less than 1km away, planning your day out is taken care of! The Splash Park is a parkland filled with bright and colourful splash parks, a playground, grassed lawns plus BBQ and picnic spaces. With all of this at the ready, this is a fantastic play space that the grandkids will love roaming around, while you sit back and relax in the picnic spaces or grassed lawns. Who knows, they might even run themselves out of energy so you can all enjoy a cat nap when you return to the village – ah, perfect!

Ballarat Badminton
Location: Dowling Street Wendouree
Phone: 03 5339 4601

While many of us love a good game of golf or lawn bowls, sometimes we want to challenge ourselves in a different way. Experience something different like badminton, which is easy when Ballarat Badminton is only 2.3km away. Badminton is a racquet sport, like tennis, where two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles) play their game on a court with a shuttlecock instead of a ball. If you’re a tennis player from the past, this sport gives you the opportunity to enhance your skills on a smaller court with a higher net too! But don’t worry if you’ve never played before, this club prides itself on introducing new members to the sport of badminton, offering a range of sporting programs to get you started. With expert coaches on hand, you can develop new skills while keeping fit.
Why not grab a group of friends and begin an exciting journey of fun, fitness and skills!
