Meet Tegan Ricketts, our Sales Professional at Stockland Retirement Living, Victoria. Tegan shares her time between Patterson Lakes Retirement Village and Long Island Retirement Village.

When did you start working for Stockland?

I started working for Stockland in January 2017 and I have loved every moment of it.

Why did you choose to work in retirement living?

I wanted to change my career path so when a role in Retirement Living with Stockland became available I thought I would give it a go!

What does a normal day look like for you?

A day in the village for me is full – communicating with prospective new residents, attending village events, socialising with residents and performing ad hoc duties as they arise.

What do you think are some of the benefits of living in a retirement village?

The community is a huge benefit to retirement living. The village also has everything you could need.

Would you recommend retirement living to family and friends?

Yes of course I would! The social life and security residents have is fantastic, I’d love to see friends and family live in a secure and social environment.

What are some of the biggest misconceptions about living at a retirement village?

The biggest misconception of retirement living would have to be ‘it’s only for old people!’ I hear this a lot but on the flip side the residences who move in tell me they wish they had done it 5 years earlier as the love the social activities and friends they are making and want more time to enjoy it
