On Saturday 2nd December, our residents held their second annual market day with over 300 guests visiting the village to check out what was on offer.

The event was such a success, the village bus was commandeered to transport visitors to and from their car park spots.

With 19 stalls selling items including patchwork, pot plants, jewellery, art, craft and more, there was something for everyone. Guests were also treated to a sausage sizzle and Devonshire tea.

The event was managed by resident Jenny Long, who worked tirelessly to rally the residents and encouraged them to get involved.

“The market day is something that is put on by the residents, for the residents and really brings the community together,” she said.

There were over 30 residents and village staff involved on the day, everyone working together to showcase our gorgeous village.

In addition to bringing the village residents together, local community groups also got involved with the Girl Guides and Lions Club managing stalls.

A wonderful day was had by all, and we look forward to the next one in 2018!
