Join us to celebrate Noongar and First Nations culture with a Smoking Ceremony, art workshops, face painting & more!

Welcome to Country 

9:30am - 10am
Located outside the Coles entrance near Subway

Local elder Lindsay, will lead a Welcome to Country, followed by a Smoking Ceremony and Noongar cultural dancing. 

The Smoking Ceremony is a traditional Noongar ritual to cleanse the area of warra wirrin (bad spirits) and bring in the blessings of the kwop wirrin (good spirits)


Community NAIDOC Art 

10am - 1pm
Located opposite Kmart

Join us for a FREE kids art workshop where we will be creating a Baldivis NAIDOC Art Piece as well as learning about the Noongar Six Seasons.
Bookings are essential. BOOK HERE.


NAIDOC Face Painting 

10am - 1pm
Located opposite Kmart

Enjoy free face Aboriginal face painting in celebration of NAIDOC Week.


We acknowledge the Binjarep people of Noongar Nation, Traditional Custodians of the land on which this event will take place. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. 


All attendees to the 'Community NAIDOC Art' event will require a ticket. Due to limited capacity, a maximum of two tickets will be available per booking. If your group requires more than two tickets, multiple bookings will need to be made. Bookings are essential as spots are limited. If you are unable to attend your confirmed session, please cancel as early as possible to enable others to join.   
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and density requirements, event capacity is strictly 15 plus staff within the activity space during the allocated time slot.  All children must have adult supervision, however guardians will need to supervise from the event fence line. Please ensure that social distancing is maintained while visiting the centre.
