An exclusive 22 metre original mural has been revealed, inside the new Whites SUPA IGA Baringa set to open 28th August 2019.

To add to the excitement of the pending grand opening of the Baringa store, Whites IGA have announced, a very special, fresh food themed 22 metre long art piece is to be featured in the store created by talented artist Lisa Wignall Hayes.

Sitting above the shop floor, the graffiti style art piece is made up of many unique panels of perforated metal, designed to let light flood through. All the panels have been individually spray painted to reflect the people, places and uniqueness of the Aura community.

The art piece features many key elements of the store, region and community, integrating local icons such as the Glasshouse Mountains to local farms, where fresh product is sourced through to the traditional Gubbi Gubbi people.

A little about the artist, Lisa Wignall Hayes grew up on the Sunshine Coast and so is deeply connected to the region and was invited to create the masterpiece by her Aunty and Baringa store owner Roz White to reflect the vibrant personality of the Aura community.

It truly is a magnificent piece and has a special impact of its own but complements the vibe and individuality of the store. We can't wait to show you this grand art installation on our opening day!
