The sun rises earlier during the warmer months and for most of us (especially those with little ones), it means an early start!
Make sure your morning begins with a deliciously healthy banana maple chia pot that you can quickly whip up at home. You’ll appreciate the nutritious start to the day, and these certainly don’t sacrifice on flavour!
Pick up the ingredients from Coles and Woolworths then top it off with mini glass pots from The Reject Shop and try this tasty recipe this season.
Step 1. Peel and mash two of the bananas with a fork and set aside.
Step 2. Take a medium-sized mixing bowl and pour in coconut milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Step 3. Place the mashed banana in the mixture and stir well, before refrigerating for four hours, or overnight.
Step 4. Once the mixture is set in a ‘pudding-like’ consistency, slice the remaining two bananas and set aside.
Step 5. Spoon the chia pudding mixture evenly into four small glass jars, layer with sliced banana and top with maple granola (and a little more maple syrup for the sweet tooths!).
